Who is actively allocating, and what the evidence proves
Family-office activity is deliberately private. That makes a careful public record more useful than an overconfident list of supposed cheque writers. The research covered current investment roles, official mandates, portfolio disclosures, and dated investments, then attached the evidence and the limitation to every profile.
“Recent activity” means a named investment, fund commitment, or qualifying portfolio disclosure announced between August 18, 2024 and August 18, 2026. A current mandate can appear when no qualifying recent transaction is public; those records are generally Tier 2. Tier 3 contains material classification, authority, or sourcing caveats and requires fresh verification.

family-capital allocator
Tier 3directBrandberg's current public LinkedIn profile identifies him as a founding partner and investment professional. Gullspång's official site describes patient-capital investing and active ownership across Vilokan, Alight, Baseload Capital, Qvantum, Oatly and Nick's.
Recent activity: portfolio activity / reporting · Vilokan; Alight; Baseload Capital; Qvantum; Oatly; Nick's
Focus: venture capital, private equity, food / agtech, energy
Caveat: The role evidence is a public LinkedIn profile rather than a named official team biography; the organization-level portfolio does not establish individual deal attribution or a standard cheque size.
Methodology, evidence tiers, and disclosure
Candidates were discovered across allocator websites, portfolio announcements, annual reports, regulatory records, and reputable financial reporting. Publication required a public current-role source plus evidence of the organization's investment activity or mandate. Duplicate person and organization pairs, pure advisers, placement agents, stale roles, and records supported only by scraped directories or personal social profiles were excluded.
The scope includes conventional single-family offices as well as clearly labeled family investment companies, family-controlled holdings, family foundations, family-backed venture investors, and multi-family or wealth platforms with evidenced private-market activity. The allocator type on each row preserves those distinctions; not every row is a conventional single-family office.
- Tier 1, 62 records
- The strongest fit in this dataset. Public evidence supports the person's current role together with a named recent transaction or commitment, or especially strong current portfolio reporting. An undated active mandate on its own is generally not Tier 1.
- Tier 2, 33 records
- A credible fit with one meaningful limitation. This tier generally includes current-mandate-only records and may also include portfolio reporting without a named transaction, reliance on a secondary role or activity source, or limited public governance detail.
- Tier 3, 5 records
- A usable research lead with a material classification, authority, or sourcing caveat. These records require fresh re-verification before outreach or publication.
A tier is an evidence and fit assessment, not an investment recommendation or a quality rating. A record was included only when the public record supported all five of the following:
- The investing organization is based in Europe or operates as a European family-capital allocator
- The organization can reasonably be classified as one of the allocator types retained on the row
- A named person has a current public professional role relevant to investment selection, ownership, executive allocation, or governance
- There is a public allocation signal within the 24-month window, or a current undated official investment mandate or portfolio page reviewed on 2026-08-18
- At least one role source and one activity source are retained, with limitations stated when evidence is indirect or incomplete
Candidates were excluded when they lacked a named decision maker, had no adequately current allocation signal or current mandate, could not be tied to family capital, were merely wealth-list entries, relied on private or personal contact data, or had conflicts and gaps too substantial for the final 100. Public asset managers and investment companies without a supported family-capital connection were not included solely because they invest in private markets.

The source log and what is in the download
The ZIP holds three files. The CSV is the directory above, one row per record with the same fields. The source log is one row per unique retained evidence URL, with the record IDs it supports, how the source entered the research, what it supports, its authority, and the date it was accessed. The README is the methodology, with a full data dictionary for both files.
A blank activity date means the support is a current mandate or portfolio page rather than a dated announcement. Year-only dates are deliberately left at year precision and should not be read as a known day or month. Arrays in both CSV files are serialized as compact JSON arrays; values are UTF-8 and RFC 4180 compatible, and any text value beginning with a spreadsheet formula character is prefixed with an apostrophe in the export. The JSON dataset behind this page preserves the canonical values and types.

- 100-european-family-office-decision-makers-source-log.csv, one row per unique retained evidence URL with its linked record IDs
- README.md, the methodology and data dictionary, also published on its own
Only public professional information and organization-level evidence are included. The files contain no private email addresses, private phone numbers, home addresses, personal social handles, or inferred personal contact details. Recheck the cited sources before publication or outreach, comply with applicable privacy, marketing, and data-protection law, and use respectful institutional channels. If a record is inaccurate or should be corrected or removed, use the contact channel published on this site and include the record ID.

Frequently asked questions
Who is included in this European family-office allocator list?
The directory covers public professional profiles at family-capital allocators, single- and multi-family offices, family investment companies, and private-wealth platforms with a disclosed private-markets mandate. Every record has a current-role source and a separate activity or mandate source.
Does inclusion prove that the named person signed a cheque?
No. Public evidence normally establishes a current investment role and organization-level deployment, not who personally approved a transaction. Each row states that limitation, and the directory never infers undisclosed ticket sizes or personal signing authority.
What do the evidence tiers mean?
Tier 1 is the strongest public signal: a named recent transaction or commitment, or especially strong portfolio reporting, paired with a current role. Tier 2 is a credible fit with a meaningful limitation, often a current mandate without a qualifying named recent transaction, older activity, or reliance on a secondary source. Tier 3 has a material classification, authority, or sourcing caveat and requires fresh verification before use.
Does this mean every organization is accepting pitches?
No. The directory is research, not a solicitation list or an endorsement. Mandates, pacing, geography, ticket size, and willingness to meet new managers change. Verify fit through the organization's official channels before approaching anyone.
What is in the downloadable file?
The ZIP contains the 100-record CSV, a methodology README, and a source log. It includes only public professional information and does not contain personal email addresses, phone numbers, or inferred contact details.
